The annual Sacred Harp singing held at New Hope Church on the fourth Sunday in June was called to order by Butch White leading 34b and 52t. The morning prayer was offered by Stella Pratt.

The following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Butch White; Secretary—Geraldine Sharpton.

RECESS

The class resumed singing with Butch White leading 503. Leaders: Don Robertson 151, 540; Seth Allred 39t; Cory Dale and Seth Allred 441; Essie Hollingsworth, Kenneith Calvert, and Geraldine Sharpton 565, 496; David Ivey 294.

The chairman of the church finance committee gave a report of the status of the finances for the upkeep of the church and cemetery. Delone Cobbs offered the blessing for the noon meal.

LUNCH

The afternoon session was brought to order by Billy Williams leading 89.
