The 13th annual Higher Ground Singing was called to order by Janet Fraembs and William Shetter leading 59. Marlen Rust offered the opening prayer.

William Shetter conducted the memorial lesson for the following deceased: Jeanette Lowry and Mary Alice Caldwell—Missouri; Edith Tate, Amanda Denson, LaRue Allen, Flarce Creel, La Quita Keeton—Alabama; Beverly Schau and Fred Schau, Sr.—Tennessee; Agnes Leatcy—Illinois; Robert Bozarth and Joyce Adams—Indiana; and Aletta Seymour—United Kingdom. He led 566 in their memory.
