The annual singing in memory of Walker Cates and Herbert Brown was held on the second Sunday in October at Muscadine Methodist Church. Jeff Sheppard brought the class to order leading 82t. Lonnie Rogers offered the morning prayer. Jeff Sheppard led 177; Shelbie Sheppard 556; Pearl Guier 45t, 40.

The class was organized with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Jeff Sheppard; Vice Chairman—Stanley Edwards; Secretary—Shelbie Sheppard; Arranging Committee—Pearl Guier, Hester Edwards, and Sammie Oliver.
