The annual Sacred Harp singing at Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church was held on the first Sunday in May. Bernard Denney called the class to order leading 63 and 100. Philip Denney led 32t. Lonnie Rogers offered the morning prayer.

Mary L. Smith conducted the memorial lesson. Jeff Sheppard led 436 and 441 for the deceased: Estelle Flowers, Mozelle Sheppard, Irene Willoughby, Barbara DePoy, and Georgia Forster.

Teenie Moody led 146 for the sick and shut-ins: Larry Olszewski, Nancy Allen, Myrtle Smith, Margie Smith, Preston McClendon, Bobby Jackson, Howard Reid, Naomi Sailors, Evelyn Harris, I.V. McWhorter, Alice Edwards, Moena Denney, and Lois Stanson. Cecil Roberts closed the memorial with prayer.
