Boiling Springs Convention

The annual Boiling Springs Convention was held at Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church in the Oak Grove Community, near Sylacauga, Alabama on the second Sunday in July. The day of singing began with the class singing 59. Kyle Blakeley offered the morning prayer. Elder Jonathan Blakeley led 129.

A business session was held with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Elder Jonathan Blakeley; Secretary—Lacey Blakeley; Arranging Committee—Daniel Dean.

RECESS

LUNCH

Elder Jonathan Blakeley brought the afternoon session to order leading 37b and 37t. Leaders: Jo Snodgrass 36 (t? b?), 111 (t? b?), 373; Maudie Fredrick 426t, 340, 406.

Songs on 318 and 123 (t? b?) were led in memory of Ruth Brown, Elsie White, and Newman Turner.

Special requests were sung: 67, 39b, 39t (for Elder Bufrey Dean, who was not able to attend).

Announcements were made. Elder Jonathan Blakeley led 35 as the closing song, Daniel Dean led the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
