The annual Sacred Harp singing was held on the third Sunday in June at the Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church in Roopville, near Ephesus, Georgia. The class was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Lonnie Rogers leading 112 and 101t. Jeff Sheppard led 75 and 439.

A business session was held with the following officers elected or appointed: Chairman—Lonnie Rogers; Vice Chairman—Philip Denney; Secretary—Karen Rollins; Arranging Committee—Charlene Wallace; Memorial Committee—Sherry Lovvorn, Josephine Denney, and Gloria Buttram.

Chairman Lonnie Rogers brought the afternoon session to order leading 97 and 111b for Tokay Shumake, followed by Paige Harrod leading 100 and 460.

Sherry Lovvorn and Gloria Buttram conducted the memorial lesson. B.M. Smith led 494 for the following deceased: George Rogers, Everette Denney, Ruth Brown, Bernard Swafford, Vivian Rogers, Kenneth DeLong, Alma Brumbelow, Lillian Yates, Elzie Cook, Wilma Harrod, Revy Williamson, Cramer Rogers, Mildred McWhorter, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Green, Mrs. Bennie Jackson, Tillman White, and Chuck Lunsford. Lonnie Rogers and children led 405 for the sick and shut-ins. Chuck White closed the memorial with prayer.
