The seventeenth annual Sacred Harp singing at Immanuel Baptist Church was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by Tim Reynolds leading song on page 34b. Darrell Holley offered the morning prayer.

The following committees were appointed: Arranging Committee—Clayton Ezell and David Carlton; Finance Committee—Darrell Holley; Memorial Committee—Claire Outten and Gary Smith.

Tim Reynolds led song on page 58. Leaders: Clayton Ezell 390, 300; Claire Outten 112, 48b; Laurens Blankers 40, 63; Darrell Holley 59, 68b; Sarah Smith 290, 129.


David Carlton brought the class back to order leading songs on pages 171 and 142. Leaders: Debbie Sides 84, 73b; Wilton Donaldson 225t, 565; Ivalene Donaldson 335, 270; Henry Cobb 72b, 551; Drew Foster 107, 159.


Gordon Wilkinson brought the class back to order leading songs on pages 217 and 460.

A memorial lesson was held. Gary Smith led song on page 163b for the following deceased: Freeman Wootten, A.C. McGough, Harold Gant, Neil Worley, Barbara Reid MacKay, Mrs. Eric Bean, and Thornton Ryan.

Claire Outten led song on page 31t for the following sick and shut-ins: Elsie Beasley, Bonnie Favrot, Ruby Thatcher, Billie Blake Foster, David Lindstrom, Betty Blankers, and Kim Watkins. Darrell Holley closed the memorial lesson with prayer.
