The 42nd session of the Young People’s Sacred Harp Musical Association met at The Harmony Room at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, on the Saturday before the fifth Sunday after the fourth of July. All song selections were from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition.
The class was called to order by Andrea Tzvetkov leading 59. Taylor Sullivan offered the opening prayer. A business meeting was held and the following officers and committee members were elected or appointed to serve: Chairperson—Andrea Tzvetkov; Secretaries—Kristin Nyquist, Sarah Hill, and Ruthie Prillaman; Chaplain—Taylor Sullivan; Finance Committee—Laura Stephenson; Locating Committee—Andrea Tzvetkov and Linnea Sablosky; Resolutions Committee—Luc Kleiner and Lucy P. Grindon; Memorial Committee—Lucy O’Leary and Stuart Wheeler; Food and Beverage Committee—Suzanne Caflisch, Olivia Babuka Black, and Matthew Ribarich. Linnea Sablosky was appointed to serve as the arranging committee. The business session was closed.

Lucy O’Leary read the following list of names of the deceased: Ted Mercer, Eva Striebech, David and Susan Fetcho, Stephen O’Leary, Terry Barber and Jeff Begley. She led 340.

A business meeting was held in order to hear reports from various committees. Laura Stephenson reported for the Finance Committee that expenses were met. The Resolutions committee gave thanks to the Tongva Tribe, on whose land the singing was held. They recognized all officers, committees, keyers, registrars, the Bay Area Sacred Harp group for their organizational assistance, and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Andrea Tzvetkov and Linnea Sablosky reported for the Locating Committee that the 43rd Young People’s Singing would be hosted by the young people of Sand Mountain, Alabama Sacred Harp singing classes at Fuller Cemetery in Idler, Alabama on the Saturday before the fifth Sunday after the fourth of July in 2026. Kristin Nyquist gave the Secretary’s report stating that sixty six leaders representing ten states led eighty songs. The meeting was closed. Announcements were made.
Andrea Tzvetkov led 414 as the closing song. The class was dismissed with prayer led by Taylor Sullivan.
