The 8th annual Floyd All-Day singing was held on Saturday before the fourth Sunday in August, at the Springhouse Community School, Pilot, Virginia. The class was called to order by Chris Wolf leading 6 (VPH). Chris also offered the opening prayer and logistical announcements.

Chris Wolf offered the memorial lesson, leading the class to hold in the light those who were sick, shut-in, or deceased and speak to the qualities they are remembered by. He read the following names of those who were sick or shut-in: Abby Beavin, Susan Quinn, Joe Duehl, Andrea Angott, Werner Kist, Bruce Hutton, Elisa Fox, Martha Archer, Isabelle Jewett, John Poland, Robert Greenberg, Stewart Island, and Hannah Duplesse.

Chris then read the following names of those deceased in the last year: Tracy Bradbury Clark, Hank Schutz, Jewell Bowman, Earl Flora, Richard Hawkins, Joe McClain—Virginia; Martha Hickman Hild—Canada; Penny Egan—Wisconsin; David McBee—Tennessee; Melissa Middlethon, and Kristi Smith—North Carolina; Buell Cobb—Alabama; Jeff Bell—Minnesota; Mike Hinton—Texas; Jeff Begley—California; Naiomi Bossam—Vermont; Thaua Seagull—Massachusetts/Maryland. Chris Wolf and Mary Jo Bowman led 277 to honor the sick, shut-ins, and recently deceased, and led the class in prayer.

Gabe Simerson brought the class back together leading 229. Leaders: Adrienne Robertson 196; Michael DeVito 381; Michael Archer 330t. Thomas Mann offered a blessing before the meal.
