Minutes of Sacred Harp Singings

The Lowcountry Sacred Harp met for its 13th annual singing in the parish hall of Saint Philip’s Church on Saturday before the fourth Sunday in May, which happened to be the first weekend of the Spoleto Arts Festival. After a half-hour beginner’s lesson by Tom Ivey, Stephen Jones offered a variation of the Chorister’s Prayer. All song selections were from the 1991 edition of The Sacred Harp.
