The 155th session of the South Georgia Sacred Harp Singing Convention was held on Saturday before the first Sunday in October at the Civic Center in Roberta, Georgia. President Bill DuPre called the class to order leading 31t. Elder Chris Robinson gave the opening prayer.

RECESS
Bill DuPre called the class back to order leading 225t. Leaders: David Smead 507, 318; Russ Hanson 270, 384; Mairye Bates 148, 63; Bert Collins 300, 542; Rosemund Watson 503, 149; Sandra Wilkinson 91, 175.
The class entered into a business session in which the following officers were elected to serve: President—Bill DuPre; Vice President—John Plunkett; Secretary-Treasurers—Jesse P. Karlsberg and Lauren Bock; Chaplain—Elder Chris Robinson. The class reviewed and confirmed the list of singings for 2024. Jesse P. Karlsberg presented the treasurer’s report for 2023-2024, which the class approved. The business session was closed. John Brownlee offered the blessing over the noon meal.
LUNCH
Bill DuPre brought the class back to order for the afternoon session leading 426t. Leaders: Shawn Taylor 365; Martha Harrell 178.
Sandra Wilkinson and Russ Hanson led the memorial lesson. Sandra Wilkinson spoke about the many deceased members of the South Georgia Convention with whom she sang. She noted that we miss these singers and will not forget them. Sandra also asked that we pray for the sick members of our singing community and their caregivers. Russ Hanson led 229. The deceased remembered were Beverly Thompson—Georgia; Tommie Spurlock and Malik Williams—Alabama; Martha Ann Stegar—Virginia; Bob Goodman—California. The sick and shut-ins recognized were John Hollingsworth, Elsie Hollingsworth, Bill Hollingsworth, Jesse Roberts, and Alpha Watson. Wayne Watson closed the memorial lesson with prayer.
