The 28th session of the South Carolina Singing in memory of William Walker was held at the Second Presbyterian Church, Spartanburg, South Carolina, on Saturday before the third Sunday in March. Frances Carnell welcomed the singers and led 58b (CH). Leon Carnell gave the opening prayer.
The first session of singing was from the Christian Harmony (2010). In a business meeting, it was agreed to keep the same officers as follows: Chairman—Frances Carnell; Vice Chairman—Dave Farmer; Treasurer—Bobbi Albert; Secretary—Mary Baumeister. Today’s funds will go to the Minutes Committee, to Second Presbyterian Church for hosting, and to the Spartanburg County History Museum which has an exhibit on William Walker.
