The 4th annual Sacred Harp singing was held on the fourth Sunday in September at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, north of Bowdon, Carroll County, Georgia. Daniel Williams called the class together leading 60. Daniel Williams welcomed the singers and visitors and offered the morning prayer before leading 457. Leaders: Philip Denney 535, 40; Bert Collins 97, 542; Robert Chambless 494, 418; Esther Williams 276; Barbara Brooks 285t, 72b; Amber Davis 187, 402; Cecil Roberts 73b, 284 (in memory of Earlis McGraw).
A business meeting was held and the following officers were elected to serve: Chairman—Daniel Williams; Vice Chairman—Phillip Denney; Secretary—Judy Chambless.

Shane Brown gave the memorial lesson. He read the following list of names of the sick and shut-ins: Lucy Heidorn, Matthew Wilson, Pat Kierbow, David Jackson, Ozella Blackmon, Margaret Keeton, Diane Avery, Barry Rollins, Virginia Dyer, Marlon Wootten. He led 45t. He read the following list of names of the deceased: Joan Aldridge, Coy Ivey, Rebecca Over, Mary Ruth Stiefel, Irene Killingsworth. He led 66. Glenda Collins led 454 in honor of Virginia Dyer. Shane Brown offered the closing prayer for the memorial lesson.
