The annual Decoration Day Sacred Harp singing was held at Cane Creek Primitive Baptist Church near Heflin, Cleburne County, Alabama, on the third Sunday in May. Glenda Collins welcomed the singers and visitors to the singing and led 32t as the opening song. Cecil Roberts offered the morning prayer, and Glenda led 46. Leaders: Bert Collins 542, 97; Oscar McGuire 34b, 129; Winfred Kerr 225t (in honor of Rebecca Over), 146; Sherrill Cleino 77t (in honor of Rebecca Over), 314; Robert Chambless 141, 72b; Olivia Kerr and Polly Deese 56t (in honor of their fathers, Joe Kerr and Robert Kerr), 323b; Henry Johnson 52b, 55.

In a business meeting, the following officers were elected: Chairman—Glenda Collins; Vice Chairman—Winfred Kerr; Secretary—Judy Chambless.

Philip Denney offered the prayer to close the memorial lesson. Charlie Norton presented the church and cemetery report.
