The 19th annual Stapleford All-Day Sacred Harp Singing was called to order by Helen Brown leading 52t. Hannah Land offered the opening prayer.

The following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Helen Brown; Vice Chairman—Ted Brown; Secretary—Margaret Gillanders; Arranging Committee—Judy Whiting and Chris Brown.

At 11:00 a.m., a two minute silence was observed (Armistice Day).

The memorial lesson was conducted by Michael Walker, during which the following sick and housebound were named: Charlene Wallace, Curtis Owen, Melanie Hauff, Joe McPartland, Carolyn Pritchett, David Elliott, Dianne McLaren, Helmut Fessen, Wolfgang Sauer, Eimear O’Donovan, Don Walker, Charlotte Walker, Ella Cumber, and Sally Sumner.

The following deceased were remembered and honored: Daniel Evans, Jean MacDonald, Donald MacDonald, Hugh McGraw, Don Grimshaw, Ros Taylor, Gordon Hoyland, Norman Johnson, Winifred Elliott, Edith Owen, Gravis Ballinger, Terry Bolger, Dave Mann, Gisela Sakaras, Tilo Jeske, Jana Rosenstein, and Jimmy Balfour. Michael led 380t (CB) for the all the above named, and the memorial service was closed with prayer offered by Kathy Williams.
