The annual DeLong-Roberts Memorial Singing was called to order by Jessica Altman leading 34b. Elder Jesse Roberts offered the morning prayer.

A business session was held with the following officers elected to serve: Chairman—Jessica Altman; Vice Chairman—Matt DeLong; Secretary/Treasurer—Helen Bryson; Arranging Officer—John Plunkett. It was also voted to change the starting time for the singing to 10:00 a.m. effective 2018. Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church has graciously agreed to host this singing in 2018.

Janice Paulk conducted the memorial lesson. She said that each of us has a special memory of singers that we’ve sung with over the years. These singers have left us a special legacy and what better way to expand that legacy than for us to keep on singing. Richard DeLong led 153 in memory of the following deceased and past DeLong family members: Hugh McGraw, Johnny Lee, Delorese Lee, B.M. Smith, Alan Timothy Hammock (Tony Hammock’s brother), Harold DeLong, Geneva Pritchard, and George Snyder—Georgia; Charles Wells—Minnesota. Jesse Roberts led 328 for family and friends of the Roberts family, and closed with memorial lesson with prayer.
