The 30th annual Capitol City Shape Note Singing was held on the third Thursday in July, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Bill Hogan called the class together leading 36b, and offered the morning prayer. Joey Brackner welcomed the singers on behalf of the Alabama Center for Traditional Culture. Song selections were from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition. Leaders: Bea Aaron 438; Amber Davis 150; Ann Gray 454; Robert Chambless 163b; David Ivey 278t (in memory of Toney Smith); Chris Parris and Jillian 159; Jim Aaron 47b; Vickie See 480.
