The annual Sacred Harp singing held in memory of W.A. Parker, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Myers, and Elsie Beasley was held at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church on the fourth Sunday in October. The class was called to order by Marlin Beasley leading 32t. Danny Creel offered the morning prayer.
The following officers were appointed to serve: Chairman—Marlin Beasley; Vice Chairman—Richard Mauldin; Secretary—Margaret Keeton.

RECESS
The class was brought back together by Jerry Kitchens leading 340 (for Lucille Parnell). Leaders: Marlin Beasley 341, 68b; Richard Mauldin 378t (for Steve Adams and in memory of Dick Mauldin), 148; Ozella Blackmon 335, 339; Margaret Keeton 234 (in memory of Josie Hyde), 297; Danny Creel 106, 111b (in memory of Harrison Creel). Richard Mauldin offered the blessing before the noon meal.
LUNCH
The afternoon session began with Marlin Beasley leading 270. Leaders: Velton Chafin 222, 80t, 81t; Willodean Barton 82b; Jerry Kitchens 114, 112; Kermit Adams 43, 46; Ernestine Parker 330b.
A business session was held. Richard Mauldin spoke, and thanked Mrs. Lucille Parnell and family, who have been very supportive of the church and singing. He, also, thanked the singers for their attendance and support, but due to decreased attendance, he made a motion to vote on whether or not to continue this singing. The class voted to suspend the singing. The business session was closed.
Following announcements, Marlin Beasley led 460 as the closing song. Velton Chafin offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
