The 3rd annual Sacred Harp singing convened at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church on the Saturday before the first Sunday in September. The morning session was called to order by Robert Vaughn at 10:00 a.m. leading 59 in the B. F. White Sacred Harp, Cooper Revision. The morning prayer was offered by Bro. Wordy Kent.

The following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Robert Vaughn; Secretary—Sonya Kirkham.
