The one hundred-sixth session of the Rock Creek-Mountain Home and the one hundred twenty-ninth session of the Ryan Creek Convention was held at Mt. Hope Church in Cullman, Alabama on Saturday before the third Sunday in August. Billy Williams opened the convention leading songs on pages 33b and 39b. Uel Freeman offered the opening prayer.

Velton Chafin called the class back to order leading song on page 43.

A memorial lesson was held. Billy Williams read a verse from the Bible, and Josie Hyde read the list of the deceased who have passed away since the last convention. Those remembered were: Callie Calvert, William Ryan, David Holcomb, Lucille Tolbert, Harold Calvert, Dovy Jackson, Silas Curtis, Doris Vickery, Elbert Hale, Bernice McGough, Lessie Grant, Bertha Humphries, Irene Hipp, Freeman Wootten, and George Cox. Josie Hyde led song on page 129 in memory of the deceased.

Marie Guthrie read the list of the sick and shut-ins and led song on page 373 for these friends and loved ones who were unable to attend. Those remembered were Mavis Price, Chrystal Crocker, Ruth Price, Charlotte Hinkle, Ulys Walker, Tressie Adkins, Sharon Doe, Elsie Beasley, and John Hocutt. Velton Chafin closed the memorial lesson with prayer.
