The Original B.F. White Sacred Harp Singing Convention (J.L. White Revision) was held on the third Sunday in September. The class was called to order by John Plunkett, who welcomed each one present and led 59. The opening prayer was offered by Oscar McGuire. The chairman then led 284t. Leaders: Russell Hanson 72b, 61; Sandra Wilkinson 444t, 442t; Oscar McGuire 293b, 37b; Helen Bryson 490b, 498t; Shawn Taylor 314, 97; Carol Hanson 36b, 313.

The memorial lesson was led by Sandra Wilkinson, who gave a brief talk concerning love, remembrances, compassion, and duty to and for others. Russell Hanson led 485b for the following list of sick and shut-ins: Don Bowen, John Hollingsworth, Elsie Hollingsworth, Bill Hollingsworth, Susan Ford, Martha Howell, Mary Brownlee, and Rosemund Watson. Judy Mincey led 122 for the following deceased: Norma Green—Alabama. The memorial lesson was closed with prayer by Oscar McGuire.
