The annual Sacred Harp singing was held at Shady Grove on the first Sunday in January. Nicholas Thompson called the class to order by leading 82t. Earl Ballinger offered the morning prayer.

The class was organized by electing the following officers: Chairman—Nicholas Thompson; Vice Chairman—Glenn Keeton; Secretary—Roma Rice. Nicholas Thompson also made arrangements for the day.
