The 24th annual Conference of the Society for American Music Sacred Harp Singing, held this year in Kansas City, Missouri, was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Jesse P. Karlsberg leading 48t. Deane Root offered the opening prayer. Song selections were from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition.

The Society for American Music Singing occurs in conjunction with the Society’s annual conference, the date and location of which vary each year. The 2019 singing will convene in New Orleans, Louisiana.
