The annual Sacred Harp singing was held at Shady Grove Church near Dutton, Alabama, on Saturday before the first Sunday in October. The class was called to order by Syble Adams leading 293b. Tollie Lee offered the opening prayer.

The memorial lesson was held at this time. Jeff Adcock read verses of scripture. Karen Clark led 380b in honor of the following sick and shut-ins: Charlotte Heard, Kathe Pilobosian, Wayne Jones, Julie Vea, Floy Wilder, Timothy Lind, Helen, and Sarah.

Jeff Adcock spoke in memory of the following deceased: Johnny Lee, Delorese Lee, Thomas Lee, Eloise Wootten, Edith Owen, Levon Wootten, Skip Trout, Hugh McGraw, and Jim Sisson. Sonny Huckaby led 450. Sonny Huckaby, Syble Adams, and Jeff Adcock led 563. The memorial service was closed with prayer offered by Elder Sonny Huckaby.

Syble Adams and her family led 410. Shane Wootten asked a blessing before the noon meal.
