The 20th annual session of the Rotunda Singing was held in the foyer of the Department of Archives and History Building, Montgomery, Alabama. Four songbooks were used: The Colored Sacred Harp, The B.F. White Sacred Harp, Cooper Edition, The Christian Harmony, and The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition.

The following officers served for the day: Chairman—Bill Hogan; Vice Chairmen—Joey Brackner and Jim Carnes; Secretary—Nancy Hogan; Arranging Officer—Nicole Bowman.

The class sang 87, and was called to order by Bill Hogan leading 36b, followed by a warm welcome. Joey Brackner of the Alabama State Arts council offered words of welcome. Chris Parris offered the opening prayer.

The first session of singing was from the Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition. Leaders: Nicole Bowman 240; Ken Kelly 480; Gary Padgett 442; Tim Taylor 475; Ann Riley 209; Ted Price 551; Chris Parris and Jillian Parris 206; Samuel Sommers 386; Ryan Bowman 338 and 338 (CB) (tenor parts only); Joey Brackner 318.

The second session of singing was from the Christian Harmony. RECESS

The third session of singing was from the B.F. White Sacred Harp, Cooper Edition. The class was called to order by Ken Sundberg leading 590 (CB). Danny Creel offered the blessing before the noon meal.

LUNCH

Adrian Nall led 96 (CB) to bring the class back together. The first afternoon session included selections from the Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition. Leaders: Sarah Beasley 340; Darlu Nall 277; Ken Tate 547; Isaac Green 548; Isabelle Green 47b; Jack Nelson and Taylor 560, 45t; Jillian Parris 159.

The second session of the afternoon included selections from the Christian Harmony. Leaders: Jim Carnes 133 (CH); Sam Wright 338b (CH); Herbert Buckhannon 109 (CH); Wanda Capps 172 (CH); Nancy Hogan 468b (CH); Sarah Beasley 117 (CH); Karen Clark 168b (CH).

The third session of singing was from the Colored Sacred Harp. Leaders: Jim Carnes 65t (CSH); Isaac Green 19 (CSH); Hayden Arp 4 (CSH).

The fourth afternoon session included selections from the Sacred Harp, Cooper Edition. Leaders: Cindy Tanner 486 (CB); Chris Parris 421 (CB); Joey Brackner 239 (CB); Isabelle Green 229 (CB); Ann Riley 384 (CB); Wanda Capps 505 (CB); Tim Taylor 54t (CB).

Following announcements, Nicole Bowman, Nancy Hogan, Joey Brackner, Danny Creel, Stanley Smith, and Bill Hogan led 99 as the closing song. Adam Brasich offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
