The 22nd session of the South Carolina State Singing in Memory of William Walker was held at Second Presbyterian Church, Spartanburg, South Carolina. Robert Kelley gave a brief introduction to shape notes, both seven shape and four shape systems. Frances Carnell led 59. John Plunkett offered the opening prayer.

It was decided that we will wait to buy more Christian Harmony books until the reprinting, and that we needed more Sacred Harp loaner books.
