The annual Sacred Harp singing was held Saturday before the second Sunday in September. The class was called to order by Adrian Nall leading 127, 100, and 511t. Elder Charles Ellis offered the opening prayer.

Joe Nall directed the introductory lesson leading 461, 36b, and 30t. Leaders: Voncile Nall 507b, 283t; Paul White 235; Vickie Aplin 270, 282; Bill Aplin 30b, 567; Marion Patrick 516, 358.

The following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Joe Nall; Secretary—Voncile Nall.

RECESS

Adrian Nall brought the class to order leading 484. Leaders: J. A Mosley 575, 576; Ernest Cockcroft 401, 553; Gerald Manning 447t, 558; Brian Naylor 572, 463; Charlotte Naylor 128, 461; John Kelly 82, 405.

Adrian Nall brought the class to order by leading 164. Leaders: Billy Kelly 491, 442t; Archie Covington 63, 492; Ken Sundberg 116, 59; Georgeanne Presnell 33, 87. Class sang “Send A Blessing”, and Elder Charles Ellis offered the blessing before the noon meal.

LUNCH

The afternoon session began with the class singing 96. The memorial lesson was conducted by Mary Whitehurst. She led 146 for the sick and shut-ins and for the deceased. The memorial service was closed with prayer offered by Ernest Cockcroft.
