The morning session of the 129th annual Big Singing using The Southern Harmony, compiled by William Walker, was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by William Paris leading 103. Tim Reynolds offered the morning prayer.

LUNCH

The afternoon session was called to order at 1:00 p.m. by Gene Gilliland leading 103. Gene Gilliland gave the welcome, and made a few remarks about the background of the singing and about singing shape notes. He concluded by leading 11.

William Paris conducted the memorial lesson for the following people, who had died in the last year: Frank Nichols and Elizabeth Shemwell Skerritt. He concluded the memorial by leading 276b.
