The 12th annual South Carolina singing in memory of William Walker was held at Wofford College, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on Saturday before second Sunday in March. A singing school was conducted by Hugh McGraw. This was followed by a short break and rearrangement into appropriate parts. The class was welcomed to Wofford College by Dr. Doyle Boggs.
Dan Huger opened the singing by proposing the first session be sung from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition, then alternating with the Christian Harmony, Carolina Book.

Announcements were made. Wofford College, and particularly Dr. Doyle Boggs and Dr. Gerald Thurmond, were thanked for their hospitality. The class sung 200b (CH) as the closing song. Gib Rogers offered the closing prayer. The class adjourned to pay their respects at William Walker’s grave in nearby Magnolia Cemetery.
