The tenth annual Joe Beasley Memorial Singing was called to order by Marlin Beasley leading 32t. The morning prayer was offered by Elder J.L. Hopper.

Marlin Beasley explained the order of singing for the day: the first session would be from “The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition”; the second session from “The B.F. White Sacred Harp, 1992 Revised Cooper Edition”; the third session from the “Christian Harmony”; and the fourth session from the “Lloyd Hymnal”; closing with “The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition” as time allowed. Marlin Beasley then led 40t.

The following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—John Beasley; Vice Chairman—Richard Schmeidler; Secretary—Sandie Scott; Arranging Committee—Josie Hyde.

The memorial lesson was held with Sarah Smith speaking for the deceased, and Jim Helke leading 235 in their memory.

Gary Smith spoke for the sick and shut-ins, and John Plunkett led 330b in their honor. Amanda Denson led 385b, by special request. Danny Creel closed the memorial with prayer.
