The annual session of the Elder Homer Benefield, Katherine Benefield, and Mildred Johnson Memorial singing was held on Friday night before the second Sunday in April. Cecil Roberts called the class to order by leading 56t (in memory of Elder Homer Benefield). The opening prayer was offered by Daniel Williams. Cecil welcomed everyone, and then led 37b.

Leaders: Johnny Wright 63, 145t; Donna Bell 47t (in memory of Evelyn Harris), 426b; Karen Rollins 36b 35; Joyce Lambert and Diane Clayton 127 (in memory of Joyce’s parents, Elder Homer and Katherine Benefield and Diane’s mother, Mildred Johnson. This singing began as a birthday celebration for them, and since their passing has become a memorial in remembrance of them), 82t.

A business session was held with the following officers retained or appointed: Chairman—Cecil Roberts; Vice Chairman—Johnny Wright; Secretary—Donna Bell; Arranging Officer—Richard DeLong.

Johnny Wright brought the class back to order by leading 294. Following announcements, Cecil Roberts noted that six states were represented at tonight’s singing. Cecil and Johnny Wright led 138b as the closing song. Eddie Mash offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
