The 7th annual Sacred Harp singing at Petersburg United Methodist Church in Petersburg, Tennessee, was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by John Edmondson leading 49t. The opening prayer was offered by Tim Reynolds.

The following officers were appointed to serve: Chairman—John Edmondson; Secretary—Marcia Edmondson.
