The eighth annual Brazos River Singing was held at the Star of the Republic Museum, Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park, Washington, Texas. The class was called to order by Gaylon Powell leading songs on pages 492 and 192. Curtis Owen offered the opening prayer.

The class organized with the following officers elected: Chairman—Gaylon Powell; Secretary—Al Rogers.
