The annual Sacred Harp singing held at New Hope Church on the fourth Sunday in June was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by James (Butch) White leading 34b. Delone Cobbs offered the opening prayer.

In a business session the following officers were elected: Chairman—Butch White; Vice Chairman—Anna Grace Sipe; Secretary—Londa Pate; Arranging Committee—Geraldine Sharpton and Christopher Mann.

RECESS

The class was called back together by Anna Grace Sipe leading 163b and 335. Leaders: Sarah Beasley 274t, 61; Jim Pate 277, 225t; Hazel Heinze 515, 99; Theresa Westmoreland 39b, 268; Billy See and Vickie See 30b, 288; Sonya Sipe 386, 171. Ruben Williams gave a report on the cemetery fund. Butch White led 31t. Christopher Mann returned thanks before the noon meal.

LUNCH

Butch White led 535 as the closing song. Announcements were made. Delone Cobbs offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
