The 111th session of the Bear Creek Sacred Harp Singing Convention met at Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Winston County, Alabama, on Saturday before the fourth Sunday in August. Kermit Adams called the class to order leading 36b. The morning prayer was offered by Wendell

Rinehart.

The class was organized with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Travis Keeton; Vice Chairman—Kermit Adams; Arranging Committee—Margaret Keeton; Secretary—Roma Rice.

RECESS

Kermit Adams called the class to order leading 78. Leaders: Emily Jones 82t, 83t, 74t; Geraldine Sharpton 452, 466, 68b; Stella Pratt 147t, 318; Dawson Adams 77t, 100; Betty Baccus and Thyra Balentine 39b, 47b.

LUNCH

Travis Keeton called the class back to order leading 155 and 37b. It was decided, with regret, that this singing will be discontinued.

Travis Keeton led 475 (in memory of Woodrow Hocutt) as the closing song.
