The 103rd session of the Mulberry River Convention was held at Liberty Church (McCormick) in Jefferson County, Alabama, on Saturday before the first Sunday in September. Velton Chafin opened the singing by leading 34b. The morning prayer was offered by Richard Mauldin. Velton Chafin led 32t.

A business session was held electing or appointing the following officers: Chairman—Velton Chafin; Vice Chairman—Harrison Creel; Secretary—Margaret Keeton; Arranging Committee—Willodean Barton.

Richard Mauldin conducted the memorial lesson, reading the names of the following deceased: Pauline Childers, Edith Tate, M.B. Forbes, Betty Shaver, Milton Oliver, Theresa Earnest, Homer Benefield, Gladys McGraw, Felton Denney, Amanda Denson Brady, Furn Kitchens, Cecil Wakefield, Dale Harris, Lora Kelley, Delores Beasley, Elder W.G. McGough, Lear McGough, Corene Laminack, Reby Stanford, and Roxie Keeton. Richard Mauldin led 339 in their memory.

Richard Mauldin read the names of the following sick and shut-ins: John Etheridge, Daphene Causey, Cecil Sanders, Winell Sanders, Ozella Blackmon, Bud Oliver, Henry Guthery, Joyce Walton, Mark Cain, and Charlotte McCarn. John Merritt led 75 in their honor. Butch White offered prayer to close the lesson.
