The annual Sacred Harp singing at Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church in Roopville, Georgia, was held on the third Sunday in June. The class was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Karen Rollins leading 75. The opening prayer was offered by Hugh McGraw. Denney Rogers led 318 and Karleen Williams led 100.

A business session was held and the following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Chairlady—Karen Rollins; Vice Chairman—Bentley McGuire; Secretary—Karleen Williams; Arranging Committee—Charlene Wallace and Lela Crowder; Memorial Committee—Paige Harrod and Kathy Williams.

Paige Harrod conducted the memorial lesson. Kathy Williams led 385t for the sick and shut-ins. John Plunkett led 420 for the following deceased: Gaylon Lumsford, Loy Garrison, Myrtle Smith, Gladys McGraw, Reby Stanford, Amanda Denson Brady, Felton Smith, Betty Sue Mann, Ed Nelson, Billy Joe Harris, LaRue Allen, Jeanette Lowry, Alice Caldwell, Elder Homer Benefield, Felton Denney, Tommie Denney, Roger Kelley, Durwin Kelley, Craig Rogers, and Pauline Langley. He also led 358 for the Roger Kelley family. Cecil Roberts offered prayer to close the memorial session.
