The annual homecoming Sacred Harp singing held at Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church on the third Sunday in May was brought to order by Charlotte Bishop leading 452. The morning prayer was offered by Brother Modie McNeal.

The class elected the following officers: Chairman—Charlotte Bishop; Secretary—Jenny Acton.

Leaders: Mary Jean Payne 490, 99; Jacob Acton 100, 101t; Edna Ruth Phillips 213b, 334; Brandon Acton 282, 59; Modie McNeal 229 (CB).

RECESS

The class was brought back together by Charlotte Bishop leading 36b. Leaders: Myrline Redmon 569b, 335; Floy Wilder 34b, 63; Carla Smith 354b, 358; Marion Patrick 127, 164; Mattie Perry 120, 45t.

LUNCH

Charlotte Bishop led 40 to open the afternoon session.

The memorial lesson was conducted by Jenny Acton leading 288 in memory of M.B. Forbes and in honor of Eugene Forbes. Jack Nelson led 45t in memory of Hazel Nelson. Charlotte Bishop led 111t in memory of Opal Futral and Verlie McDaniel.
