The annual memorial singing for Jack Kerr and Henry Kerr was held at Camp Ground Methodist Church, near Fruithurst, Alabama, on the second Sunday in January. Henry Johnson brought the class together leading 59. The church pastor, Rev. Larigan, offered the morning prayer.

RECESS

At the request of Lois Bowman (Jack Kerr’s daughter), Robert Chambless gave a devotional. The Kerr family members present shared family history and fond memories of Sacred Harp singing, and what it had meant to their family throughout the years. The group led 282 in memory of the deceased. Lonnie Rogers closed the memorial and asked the blessing for the noon meal.

LUNCH

The afternoon session began with Henry Johnson leading 231.
