The annual Alewine Memorial was held at St. Michael Church, north of Muscadine, Cleburne County, Alabama on the fourth Sunday in April. The class was called to order by Chairman Cecil Roberts at 9:30 a.m. leading 335. Lonnie Rogers offered the morning prayer.

A business session was held with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Cecil Roberts; Vice Chairman—George Garner; Arranging Committee—Charlene Wallace; Memorial Committee—Mary L. Smith; Secretary—Hester Edwards.

Hart, Warren Thompson, Arbie Hill, Laverne Williams, Mozelle Sheppard, Harold McElroy, and Carrie Garner. Ken McElroy led 294 in memory of his grandfather, Harold McElroy, Mozelle Sheppard, Elizabeth Hart, and Sam Hart.

Charles Woods led 503 in honor of the following sick and shut-ins: Alice Edwards, I.V. McWhorter, Bobby Jackson, Alonzo Edwards, Cleo Owens Myrtle Smith, Nancy Allen, Shirley Coffee, Lucille Shealey, Louise Brown Allen, Donnie McGraw, and Gladys McGraw. Mary L. Smith closed the memorial with prayer, and offered thanks for the noon meal.

The afternoon session was brought to order by Cecil Roberts leading 235.
