The fifty-seventh session of the annual Hopewell Homecoming Sacred Harp Singing was called to order at 9:15 a.m. by Terry Hullett leading 32t and 59. Elder J.L. Hopper offered the morning prayer.

Linda Thomas and Doug Conn conducted the memorial lesson. Doug Conn made comments and recited the 23rd Psalm. Linda Thomas read the list of deceased: Leola Green Smith, Clark Phillips, Ruth Brown, Arie Epperson Brown, Alvin Hill, Dessie Huff Bennett, Lavaughn Ballinger, and X.L. Walker.

The Green family (Nate Green, Bennett Green, and Genora Whitworth) led 43 in memory of Leola Green Smith. Chris Green led 176t in memory of Alvin Hill. Terry Hullett and Jewel Wootten led 457 in memory of Erie Epperson Brown. Linda Thomas and Rodney Ivey led 500 (CB) for the other deceased.

Buell Cobb led 452 for the sick and shut-ins: Calvin Phillips, Eldora Green Moody, Bill Green, Beufa Green, Lamar Smith, Mary Smith, Evelyn Harris, Zelma Harcrow, Martha Woodard, Bill Windom, Jap Walton, and Joyce Walton. Doyle Alexander closed the memorial with prayer.
