The annual McWhorter Memorial Sacred Harp Singing was held at Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Cleburne County, Alabama on Saturday before the third Sunday in October.

The class was called to order by Mary Lambert Smith who welcomed everyone, led song on page 52t, and offered the morning prayer. Mary Lambert Smith led song on page 317, followed by Teenie Moody leading songs on pages 59 and 98 (in memory of Uncle John McWhorter).

A business session was held with the class voting to retain the following officers: Chair—Mary Lambert Smith; Vice Chair—Teenie Moody; Arranging Committee/Secretary—Hester Edwards.
