Bay Area Sacred Harp
Welcome to Sacred Harp Singing in the Bay Area!
We sing Sacred Harp pretty much every Sunday and Monday of the year here in the Bay Area. No performances or rehearsals, commitment, experience, or ability required, just a wide variety of people coming together for singing, fellowship, and food. Fasola.org has lots of great information on Sacred Harp singing in general, but one of the best ways to learn about the tradition is to show up -- to sing or just to listen -- to one of our singings, which are always open to anyone, regardless of... anything.
We're excited to be hosting the 2009 5th Annual Golden Gate All-Day Singing on the fourth Sunday in April (the 26th), as well as a singing school the preceding afternoon by singing master Tim Eriksen. Hope you can make it!
